Cuti Cuti Cameron Highland Part 1

CAMERON HIGHLAND


Finally towards the end of the school break, we took ourselves a short break during the weekend. Supposed to update this journal a few days ago but too tired to do so .......
Last Saturday we went up to Cameron Highland and spent a night up there. It was " u " first visit up the hill. Bro " z " has been up to Cameron Highland a few years back during his school trip. It was a trip  down memory lane for mummy ...... anyway this time around myself was the F1 driver cum tourist guide ..... ha ha ha !!!! The boys think mummy was as great as the F1 driver ...... what a surprise !!!! Dia tak tau yang mummy dia menggigil pegang steering masa turun tu ....... !!!!

Day 1, Saturday 17th. Mac, 2012 

We left SU at almost 8am on that Saturday morning . The boys woke up as early as during the azan for Subuh prayer ....... which was very unlikely of them. They were very excited going for a break , kesian jugak masa cuti sekolah pun kena pergi tuition and kelas tambahan kan ????
" u " was honoured as the nagivator of the day ....... in charged of the GPS, biasalah benda2 gadget ni tak de orang lain lagi yg teror kat rumah ni kan.

Mummy's colleague suggested we follow the Simpang Pulai route as the road is much more wider and safer for a woman driver ...... ahakks !!!!  TQ for the safety tips buddies ...... we followed your advise.

 passed by a few towns before the Simpang Pulai exit near Ipoh














Driving up all the way to Cameron Highland was a great experienced ........ with cooling atmosphere, beautiful scenery and GREENs everywhere !!!! We just love GREEN.

                              wild orchids all along the road ......... what a beauty !!!!

                           and the green houses were everywhere to be seen ......... 

          finally we saw a sign board covered with fog ..... we are almost there .... yahooo !!! 

Mummy has no idea that we are going to reach the peak of Brinchang town when using the Simpang Pulai route. It took us more than 3 hours reaching the peak of Cameron Highland .... phewww!!! Brinchang is such a hectic and busy town. Following the GPS instruction we went down the hill to Tanah Rata  ...... lovely town, a very quiet and peaceful place. I believed we have made a right choice to stay at Tanah Rata ....... Alhamdulillah dah selamat sampai to our destination.

It's 12pm ....... time for lunch, dah lapar dah ni jom pergi makan !!!

Since check in time is at 2pm, we went for a sight seeing right after meal. Drove up to Brinchang town again looking for an interesting farm to visit. We found one ....... a Cactus Valley farm !!!!

Driving up to the place is a very challenging task ...... the road is too narrow, mummy just closed one eye and give it a go. We made it.

Spoilt for choices .......... any six for only RM10, do not know which one to choose  ???? 

ended up buying nothing ........ ha ha ha !!!!

Later on we head on to one of a strawberry farm further up the Cactus Valley  ........

                               Hello folks ....... I'm here at the Big Red Strawberry Farm

        mummy loves the fresh strawberries with fresh whip cream .....yummm

the boys tried the strawberry smoothies ...... rich and creamy !!!

     in love with all the blossoms around the farm....... wish to take home each and every of it

we plan to come again the next day to buy some souvenirs

     note the sharp and steep slope that mummy drove down from the Cactus Valley hill .......

  mummy discovered that myself is a brave driver up in Cameron Highland, wonder why not before ?

 We left the valley after spending an hour touring the plants around the farm and drove back to Tanah Rata. Mummy than decided to make a tour further down the Tanah Rata town to discover more interesting places down there.

We went to visit the Cameron Valley where there's the Bharat Tea Plantation farm , one of the tourist spot ....... and a popular place to hang out.
